Sites of Interest
Slashdot - News for Nerds. A site dedicated to geeky sites, providing news and commentary by the general population.
Google - The only search engine you'll ever need.
Madison Memorial High School - My place of employment. The site was done by one of my students. There's also the Computer Science Page, which is my little corner of the school.
Cisco's Academy Connection - I teach the CCNA curriculum, so I spend a lot of time on this site.
Sancho Games - A little game company that works when we do.
Orkut - A little (social) networking site that I've been playing on a bit lately.
Snopes - The grain of salt in electronic form. This site researches rumors and urban legends. Highly recommended for anyone who can read.
Salon.com - A good news source on a very short list of trustworthy news sources. If you're not a subscriber, you'll have to let an ad play while you get some coffee, in return for a day pass.
The Society for Creative Anachronism - One great big playground. A medieval reinactment society. Loads of fun. There's a bunch of links on my Chandler page, too.
Spinsanity - A watchdog group that checks political rhetoric with factual data.
Air America Radio - A liberal mostly talk radio station with hosts such as Al Frankin, Janeane Garofalo, and Chuck D. If there weren't any commercials, it'd be the perfect station. Unfortunately, they don't have any stations in Madison, but they have streaming audio on their site.
